Peabody Municipal Light Plant crews restored power to an area near Lowell Street for about an hour early Friday afternoon. Peabody Light said at about 1 p.m. they were aware of the outage near Lowell Street, extending into portions of Brooksby Village.

Thousands of customers were without power in Peabody after a tree fell on a main distribution line on Tuesday morning.
The tree fell behind the YMCA in the area of Centennial Drive, leaving about 2,000 without power around 8:30 a.m., according to Peabody Municipal Light Plant.
