Many residents woke up this morning without power as a heavy rainstorm hit the Brockton area overnight and into Monday morning. As of 10 a.m., more than 7,000 National Grid customers in Plymouth County are without power, including more than 1,000 in Brockton alone.

There were 1,593 households in Brockton without power in the aftermath of Thursday night's thunderstorms, the city tweeted at 10:55 a.m. Friday. Officials said they estimate that the restoration efforts by the National Grid will complete at 12 p.m. Power is already restored.
