Central Maine Power reports 2,608 homes and businesses without power starting at about noon Tuesday, Aug. 1. Most of the outages were in Rockland but were also affecting customers in Rockport, Thomaston, Owls Head and South Thomaston.

Central Maine Power is tracing the source of the outage in Knox County that happened just before 10 a.m. CMP will update the public when it has more information, the company said. As of 10:40 a.m. 15,904 customers were without power.
