According to Eversource's outage map, about 3,000 customers were without power as of around 5:30 a.m. Monday following an overnight storm. The most affected areas are 370 outages in Southbury, 260 outages in Colchester and 230 outages reported in East Haddam.

According to Plainfield Fire Co. #1, Pratt Road was closed between Hanson Road & Kate Downing Road second to a tree taking down several spans of electrical wires in Plainfield. Utilities were responding for restoration.
