I received a call this afternoon from my elderly mother asking me to find out why she received an envelope containing a ring that she did not order. The shipping information was the following address:

broussard LA 70518

The package was forwarded to the USPS for delivery here in California. I looked this address up online and found multiple claims associated with the address being involved in a scam of some kind, doing this exact thing. I relaid this information to my mom, but instructed her to still check all bank and credit card statements for unidentifiable charges.
