More than 1,500 Evergy customers were knocked offline just after 2:10 am in southwest Emporia. The outage knocked out power east to west from 9th Avenue to Industrial Road and north to south from 15th Avenue to the intersection of Road 160 and South Prairie. Evergy crews had the outage restored at 6 am. Evergy says the outage likely resulted from the thunderstorms in the area, however, no definite cause has been determined.Outage link: outagemap.evergy.com/
