Power has been restored to traffic signals and most of the more than 5,200 homes and businesses that lost service on Monday afternoon. Brick Township police issued an alert shortly after 2 p.m. that the traffic signals at the intersection of Route 88 and Jordan Road, at Princeton Avenue and Brushy Neck Drive, and Herbertsville Road and Maple Avenue were out because of the power outage. The outage was related to a trip on a high-voltage transmission line that feeds the area. The substation was back online shortly before 2:30 p.m.Outage link: outages.firstenergycorp.com/nj.html
