Moderna covid vaccine, 1st dose. Recieved 3/1/2021. 45 min after vaccine got an allergic reaction hives and red rash all over neck, face, throat swelled, and stomach pains. Took benadryl approx 30 min symptoms started to decrease. Still had a mild headache, right abdominal pain and about 6 hours later rash and itchiness returned. Took more benadryl and fell asleep. Woke up the next morning (day 2) about 630am itchy and red, took a regular antihistamines (1 a day) felt good till about 130pm rash started all over got chills, fever, body aches, felt heavy and tired and stomach pains as well as headache. Took tylenol and benadryl and tried to sleep. Next day (day 3) felt a bit better. Redness still appeared on chest, throat and face, throat feels scratchy and sore and still have a headache. Took a 1 a day allergy pill and felt better. At about 2pm had to take some benadryl. Bodyaches almost gone all the way and no fever or chills today. Throat still scratchy drinking lots of tea with lemon and honey and benadryl, tylenol, and allergy pills are my best friend right now. Waiting to speak with an allergen specialist in regards to this reaction. Most likely not getting a second dose. Stay safe out there and becareful if you get the vaccine. I have regular seasonal allergies, allergic to 2 different antibiotics (penicillin and Trimethoprim / Sulfamethoxazole), sulfate, asparagus, and mustard. | Symptoms: Fever, Headache, Stomach Pain, Skin Rash, Body Ache, Allergic Reaction, Chills, Itching
