The employer has not implemented effective engineering, work practice controls, personal protective equipment, and training to protect employees required to enter rooms containing COVID-19 cases during their high-risk exposure period. Placards and signs on these rooms instruct employees to take "contact/droplet" precautions instead of airborne precautions. T8 CCR 5199(e)(1) & 5199(i)(4)(F) 2. The employer has not implemented effective engineering, work practice controls, and personal protective equipment to protect housekeepers required to enter rooms containing COVID-19 cases during their high-risk exposure period. Housekeepers enter these rooms before the rooms are ventilated for a removal efficiency of 99.9% and without respiratory protection. T8 CCR 5199(e)(5)(D)9. 3. The employer has not implemented effective engineering, work practice controls, and personal protective equipment to protect employees in Pod C of the Emergency Department against the transmission of COVID-19. Patients are placed in the hall less than 6 feet from nearby nurse stations. The employer has not installed any solid partitions to protect employees in this area. T8 CCR 5199(e)(1)
