Safety Report: Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Long John Silver's, 2542 Alpine Avenue Northwest, GRAND RAPIDS, MI, 49504, USA

3 years ago business

Regulatory Report

2542 Alpine Avenue Northwest, Grand Rapids, 49504 Michigan, United States

1. The management is not following the Epidemic Orders for COVID Safety in neither of the 3 restaurants. There are no daily questionaires/screening being completed. The working quarters are very limited in space and there is usually close contact with other employees. On 2 occasions, there has been COVID outbreaks in the store on Alpine, 1 being 3 weeks ago where an Assistant Manager's child tested positive for COVID. The Assistant Manager does not regularly wear a mask at work so this exposed the staff, however, Management mandated staff to work with no quarantine, no COVID Testing nor screening for exposed staff. This week another Assistant Manager, who does not regularly wear a mask, also tested positive for COVID and has reported that he infected family members also. At this point, Management is stating that staff still has to work with no quarantine or other action being taken to ensure staff safety. 2. They allow the staff to work short handed and overhours consistently which presents exhausted staff working in dangerous conditions, drunk Assistant Managers, and so on.
