Regulatory Report

200 East North Street, Crown Point, 46307 Indiana, United States

There is not clear directive or protocol on sufficient (OR ANY) PPE being provided to staff and students. -"Mask Breaks" are to be utilized, which would expose any and all students, teachers, and staff. -All water fountains are to be turned off and there will be no "no-touch" options for staff or students to get water from during the school day. No water other than bathroom sinks. -Due to supervision needs in the hallway, teachers have been told they cannot use the restroom during passing periods and will have to wait until a para or admin can cover their class while they are teaching to use the restroom. -Ventilation does not currently run 24 hours as it is, and there are known positive mold tests through multiple rooms, particularly at Taft Middle School that have been recognized by administration but never fixed. -No change to ventilation is planning to be made other than running it "longer". -There are classes of upwards of 60 that are still being planned on happening. The students will not be able to be even 2 feet away from each other. -There is not an option for immune-suppressed teachers who cannot safely teach in person to remain home. No accommodations have been shared with anyone. -Sanitation processes are unclear, and as they stand now are to be handled by students upon leaving a class.
