Location: Ambulance sites 1. HEPA filters are not part of the ventilation devices including the bag valve masks and automatic ventilators to help reduce the spread of COVID 19. 2. The employer is representing that a Teleflex Humid Vent Mini 1011 filter (HME filter) is a HEPA filter. 3. The employer is having EMS personnel utilize the bag valve mask with the Teleflex Humid Vent Mini 1011 filter (high risk aerosolized procedure) on patients who are not breathing or minimally breathing. 4. The employer does not provide EMS personnel who transfer patients on an automatic ventilator from one healthcare facility, to another, a HEPA filter in the ventilator circuit and exposes all employees in the path of the transfer to COVID-19. 5. The employer is not providing employees with the necessary and adequate PPE supplies to help minimize exposure to COVID-19 while caring and transferring patients. 6. The employer has ineffectively trained employees regarding deploying, donning, and doffing PPE. 7. Employees have not been medically evaluated and fit tested to wear N-95 respirators to help minimize exposure to COVID 19.
