Regulatory Report
202 Keeley Street, Edinburgh, 46124 Indiana, United States
Edinburgh Community Schools is trying to do in-person education. There are a lot of students and not a lot of space for these students. With the start of a new semester, many students have returned to in-person classes instead of online. This has added many more students to each class a teacher is in charge of. Before the return of these students, many teachers were unable to keep the students socially distanced and now it is even more of a challenge. With more students in the halls and classes, there is a greater risk of spreading Covid-19, causing more strain on teachers and paraprofessionals, and putting more at risk for severe health problems for those with underlying conditions. Sporting events are still occurring, but those in attendance are not required to wear face coverings or social distance. There are signs posted reminding and stating it is required for all to wear masks and social distance, but these rules are not enforced by administration. Administration has stated that they will not switch to hybrid or virtual education unless told to do so by Governor Eric Holcomb, even if and when cases increase.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2021-01-05
