Regulatory Report

511 North Highlander Way, Howell, 48843 Michigan, United States

'- Safety protocols are not in place to reduce the risk of employee and student exposure to covid-19. - Social distancing is not practiced anywhere in the school. Teachers of band, music, and gym are holding classes outdoors to reduce the risk of exposure to the virus, but students set only one foot away from other students during lunch, and in most classrooms, social distancing of one to three feet is only feasible. - Inappropriate use of face coverings. People only wear a face covering when walking within three feet of another person. - The school district is not conducting deep cleaning when the school is open five days a week. No instructions on how to disinfect areas where students have congregated. Teachers clean classrooms with spray-on chemicals without knowing the health risk of the chemicals they are using. - Teachers and students with underlining health conditions are not given any protection from the exposure of covid-19. Asymptomatic students may expose teachers to the virus that could potentially infect teachers' families. Students could expose at-risk family members to the virus. This could lead to a foster care situation if other family members cannot care for the student. - There has been reported exposure to students at a football practice.
