Regulatory Report
3886 Van Buren Street, Hudsonville, 49426 Michigan, United States
1. The school system is using Hillyard Re-Juv-Nal as part of its COVID-19 cleaning protocol. It is used on surfaces, including students' desks and tables. The District has failed to follow the manufacturer's instructions for use of cleaning and disinfection products in direct violation of Rule 5, Section 7 of the MIOSHA Emergency Rules for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Per the Re-Juv-Nal product information sheet, to disinfect and ensure viricidal activity, the cleaner, when applied, must be allowed to remain wet for 10-minutes before wiping. The District has instructed staff to spray the cleaner and then immediately wipe, ignoring the 10-minute contact time period. 2. The Re-Juv-Nal safety data sheet indicates that chemical resistant gloves be used for hand protection when using the cleaner. The district has not provided chemical resistant gloves to its employees for use with this cleaner.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2021-02-24
