1. Multiple schools in the Utica District are in violation of MIOSHA Rule 5(8), not allowing remote work, such as: a). Not allowing teachers and support staff (music teachers and literacy coaches) who only teach remotely to work from home. b). Requiring faculty to remain on site the entire workday even if their only in-person duty is getting students off the bus in the morning. c). Requiring teachers who do not instruct at the beginning or end of the workday to remain on site for their planning time rather than being permitted to plan from home. d). Teachers who work with virtual students and face to face students on alternating days are required to report to work on days when they exclusively teach virtually. 2. Social distancing is not being practiced or enforced at Shelby Jr High, Davis Jr High, and Eppler Jr High. 3. Cleaning is not being conducted after each class and no deep cleaning is being done during the evening at Shelby Jr High, Davis Jr High, and Eppler Jr High. 4.
