Regulatory Report
8601 Roosevelt Road, Forest Park, 60130 Illinois, United States
An employee contracted the coronavirus within the district offices. A young lady reported to the school on Nov 13 that she was exposed or had the virus and it wasn't told to anyone, not even her department. It wasn't asked of her who she was in close contact with. Employees walked into the building with this individual and up the elevator. The following week, her close colleagues were in an employee's office half the day working on the computer. Still not knowing they were exposed. An employee became ill on November 16 with no fever and the symptoms were not on the healthcheck list. A person in HR came down with it where they were also working on their computers. The area where the initial virus started was never sanitized after they found out she had it. The department head had to request the cleaning after the second person contracted it. 4 people got the virus within 3 weeks. Employees have no Windows on their floor to open for fresh air. The building has recirculating air. They do not tell employees that people contracted the virus in their building. It has been a total of 12 individuals from one building. Employees are at a school with no students. It is the employees' understanding they are suppose to let them know that someone contracted the virus without exposing their name unless told to by that individual. They do not tell employees anything. Employees look at the schools that have reported their cases. Proviso East High School has, Proviso West High School cases (approx 8 cases) have not been reported and Proviso Math and Science Academy cases (approx 12 cases) have not been reported according to your mapping. Employees don't know if it's the ventilation or the lack of fresh air or bad sanitation but too many people have contracted this virus within one environment. Help the employees stay healthy. Help the employees get this building sanitized.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-12-21
