Regulatory Report
3 Bank Street, Walden, 12586 New York, United States
In accordance to St John Bosco COVID protocol, the residents can only be given a suggestion to wear a mask and practice social distancing and if they chose to ignore all safety COVID guidelines, the staff’s only recourse is to continue to encourage them to follow said guidelines. The residents can also refuse to quarantine or take a COVID test, which STJB's COVID protocol requests, in situations of residents going AWOL for days and when they are under investigation for COVID exposure. Residents have been COVID positive and refused to follow safety protocols, placing staff and other residents in jeopardy. There has already been a 12 day, 24 hour quarantine which mandated staff to stay the entire time isolated and quarantine together with the COVID positive resident and 3-4 other residents, in the STJB Walden house. The Walden house has no protective provisions such as transparent barriers, or any other alternative to maintaining COVID safety protocol and the agency has done nothing to address these concerns. Other than basic PPE supplies of gloves and mask, a viable protocol to protect staff and residence has n been addressed. During the 12 day COVID quarantine, having a positive COVID case in the residence, the agency failed to provide staff or residents any additional provisions for sanitation of residence during the quarantine or advanced PPE such as face shields, protective clothing, or shields and barriers. As-to-date, the agency has no advanced PPE or protocol for when residents are under COVID investigation and refuse to follow COVID safety protocol.Alleged Hazards: 3, Employees Exposed: 25
