1. Dental assistants are required to hold the x-ray sensor in patient's mouths while x-rays are taken thereby exposing them to ionizing radiation. 29 CFR 1910.1096 may apply. 2. Employees are required to wear N-95 respirators when treating patients but they have not been fit-tested. 29 CFR 1910.134(c) may apply. 3. Soiled laundry is kept in the breakroom where employees eat their lunches. Used lab coats may be hung in the break room and there is a hamper that is overflowing. 29 CFR 1910.1030((d)(3)(iv) may apply. 4. Employees regularly wear lab coats and masks that are visibly soiled with blood. 29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(3)(vi) may apply. 5. Employees have been required to be tested for COVID as a condition of continued employment but the employer is not paying for the tests. Employees are expected to use their own insurance.
