Regulatory Report

501 South 2nd Street, Springfield, 62701 Illinois, United States

1st complaint: *The mask rule is posted everywhere throughout the building, but not enforced to a reasonable extent. *Once a positive test has been confirmed and an infected employee is sent home, little to no cleaning or sanitizing has taken place. 2nd Complaint Hazard Location: Building offices, hallways, cafeteria: *Mask use is not strictly enforced for employees or public. *Building cafeteria offered salad bar for taco salads last week. *Building not cleaned well since it has been open in June. Hand prints can be seen on elevator buttons and door handles for days at a time. * Informed will have to use accrued time to take off if they show any symptoms of covid including any allergy symptoms, which will encourage staff to hide symptoms in the coming months to avoid docks in pay or time use whether or not they have covid. * Reports of positive cases in the building, fully staffed, with no disclosure to other employees of positive cases. *Memo received October 15, recognizes the hazards of working in our building and precautions we should take, putting burden on employees while the building itself makes little effort to protect employees. *Water fountains have been restricted to help keep the spread of virus low and employees are to get drinking water from bathroom sinks if they don't provide their own.
