Safety Report: Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, ERLANGER ELSMERE SCHOOLS, 500 GRAVES AVE, ERLANGER, KY, 41018, USA

There have been multiple exposures and cases in our district. Complainant knows of 2 teachers on the same middle school team that has tested positive, but staff and parents have not been informed. One parent who is also a staff member went and questioned administration and the district nurse replied that his daughter (even though she has both teachers) was not in contact with the positive teachers. His daughter is in person in their classrooms the days before they went and got tested, so they could have been asymptomatic or even positive before even being tested. The administration told him that his daughter was not around the teacher long enough to be considered close contact. Other teachers have been around the two people, but because they were not around them for longer than 15 minutes in a 24 hour period they were told they did not have to be informed. Multiple students in and out of classrooms and multiple teachers needing to cover the classes since we are not able to get a sub or they combine the classes into one class to have coverage The district is in a red county, so the school is still holding hybrid in person learning with numbers steadily going up. Employees keep being told that schools are doing a good job of keeping it out of schools. Employees have to rely on parents to inform the district if their child has been in contact or testing positive. These are the same parents who give their child medication to bring the fevers down so they can still send their child to school.
