Safety Report: Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Gielow Pickles, 5260 Main St, Lexington, MI 48450, USA

4 years ago business

Regulatory Report

5260 Main Street, Lexington, 48450 Michigan, United States

1. Employee was called to work and told to do COVID19 cleaning, but was not given training. Was told to sign papers that areas were cleaned but other areas in the facility are not cleaned. Management having employees sign off on things the company is not doing. No social distancing is being practiced and management is the biggest violators of their own policy. 2. Mask and gloves on candy machines, microwave, and the floor. The gloves and hair nets are in one place where everyone grabs from; that's cross contamination. There is no hand sanitizer on the production floor only a single pump on the wall for everyone to use. That stops people on assembly lines from being able to use it as needed. 3. There is no cleaning in frequently touched areas. The non assembly line workers are forced to work in areas with little room between them. Management has a policy that says to self quarantine for 5 days if you are sick or been exposed. This is another violation of the CDC guidelines, the CDC guidelines state 14 days. 4. Management claims they have a temperature testing policy, that the tests are done outside, nobody is allowed in until they are tested. The tests are done inside without gloves and safety glasses by the supervisor who had no idea how to do a test. An employee was tested 45 minutes after starting the first day and always inside. There is no social distancing for the ones on the line and employee has seen people tested on the production lines after shift has started.
