Brown water and sediment in tap water, Anderson, SC, USA

Water was out early AM on 12/28/22. Water came back on some time around 8 AM. Water has been extremely discolored with heavy sediment. I have allowed faucets and tubs to run >5 min every hour with no change in water color or sediment amount and it is now 4 PM. Very frustrating since my 2 and 4 year old are home due to Christmas vacation without clean water to drink or use for cooking. Not an issue I expect to have in the USA.
