My friend purchased a 18.5 lb bag of Heartland Chicken & Rice dogfood for my dog. Shortly afterward my dog became ill. She was vomitting, diarrhea, laying around, wouldnt eat or drink anything at all, & had stuff in the corners of her eyes. Her name was Rosie & she was a 10 month old part Black Lab/ Blue Healer. She was the best dog I have ever had. My baby & my very best friend. She died within 4-5 days of first eating this food that i have never purchased before. She wasnt the only dog that ate from this bag of food but also 2 of my cousins Jack Russell and a pit bull dog. The pit also died and the jack russell is so sick that it can barely walk. I dont expect it to live much longer. I know this food is meant for dogs but my sister-in-law and a neighbor were out of cat food so I gave each of them a little until they could each get to the store. The sister-in-law had 3 cats to die and the neighbor had 2. Some of the dogs in neighborhood wouldnt even eat the food. Looking back its like they new something wasnt right about it.
