A large power outage has knocked out electricity in Roswell Thursday afternoon after a disabled line caused an electric pole to catch fire. According to Xcel Energy, about 1,371 customers lost power at 1:47 p.m. when a pole near Fourth Street and Virginia Avenue caught fire. The flames were subsequently extinguished.
